So the goals that we're trying to achieve with the human Academy is to bring the experience that you get from person onboarding to life batch way. And I guess a benefit for us, a huge benefit is we're a global company so we can onboard people from all different corners of the world through the same academy. Let's just get together and you can have live and you can have prerecorded content.

We have that learning management system, though ensure that from one click they go straight to the learning management system and they follow their schedule and they spend time on their own, but also doing some team activities within the academy and in watching presentations as well. So it's not all just kind of PowerPoint one to many. It can be that which is a group activities team.

We use an integration Colgate, which is a game, and we use this for retention quizzes and they're kind of competing against each other to see who's remember the most information from previous days, and they can check their knowledge, but in a more fun environment. And we always say set them up into teams using sessions and they create events on the platform.

And it's a bit of a competition between the teams who can make the most interactive and fun event within a certain time, and then they have to vote for each others. And at the end of the week, as I suppose, one of the main concerns is how can we make sure that everyone's in the loop and everyone knows exactly what's going on Throughout the week.

We use the schedule which is in the reception area of the academy. The new joiners have access to this as well and we start off the week via our campus page. That means that they can preempt what to expect and plan that week around their schedule. And another way we make sure that everyone knows what's going on is we use the announcement function so I can type an announcement at any point and hang up on everyone's screens.

Feedback is super important to us because we always want to make sure that the new joiner experience is the best they can be. A lot of new joiners have said that they had quite low expectation from boarding, considering we are a remote and global company and that the academy has exceeded their expectations and they've actually said that body experience has been better than anything they've experienced in the past.

Current score is that 100% of need join us so that we set them up for success through the academy. So yeah, I mean the feedback has been amazing from everything we've done so far. And as someone who works in onboarding, my number one goal is to make sure that they feel welcome. They feel like they want to be part of the company, as well as gaining the knowledge and the skills to succeed in their new roles and be happy companies has a be engagement they that is fun for them, that they're keeping up and are actually logging in and doing the work that they need to do, that they're building connections as well.

We tackle this using the platform so we have them networking not only with other new joiners but with other people within the company throughout the week. I mentioned to hate the game and said No retention. We will take a photo. Every feature that we use. This is just purely for a little bit of fun and they go in in pairs or groups to take photos.

Have the replay options. If anyone does miss out on a session, we can touch base with them and help schedule time for them to catch up. When it sees them. We run academies at least twice a month and in terms of how much work we have to put in, we keep the same schedule so we can literally duplicate the event.
00:03:36:14 - 00:03:57:06

We invest a lot of time in the content because we want to make sure the academy content is always up to date and relatable for the new join up. But the product side of things, an hour or two a week, the onboarding week, your new joiner will remember for probably their entire career. It gives them the first impression as to what to expect from a company.

So I think getting the onboarding right, making sure that that new join up is welcome, that they feel like the culture and the atmosphere is somewhere that they want to be is huge.
