If you're invited to speak at a Hopin event, your organizer will send you a link to the Backstage so you can join a few minutes before your segment starts.
Follow the link, and click on Allow mic/cam access to give your browser permission to share your audio and video.
Then, you can check your settings here. In the camera settings choose the camera feed you want to use and your resolution.
Next, if you have more than one microphone or speaker system connected to your laptop, select the ones you want to use in the stream.
Lastly, you'll have the option to blur your background, add a virtual background or upload your own. Use this feature as a branding opportunityor to hide a not so flattering office.
Next,Type your name and click "Enter Studio". This will take you to the backstage, where only the host will be able to see you but they won't be able to hear you. If you need to communicate with the host, use the Private Chat to do so.
If you have slides, you can add them to the studio by clicking on Present > Slides and uploading them from Google Slides or your computer.
You can also upload a video or share your screen. This will bring your resource feeds into the studioso they're ready for the host to add them to the stage.
When it's time for you to come on stage, the host will bring you and your resources into the stream. Now everyone will see you and hear you!
As a speaker, you'll be able to manage your own slides by clicking on these arrows.
We hope that this video helped you understand how to participate in this virtual event,
and that you feel prepared for the big day!
