Hopin's Replay area will house recordings from your event that you can share directly with your attendees.
In this lesson, we'll show you how to enable and find the Replay area.
Do you want to record your event and easily share the recordings with your attendees, directly? With Hopin’s Replay area, you can do just that and in this video we’ll show you how.
To make available your sessions and stage recordingsin the event area called Replay, navigate to Setup>Basics and click here to Enable Replay.
Next, you can chose wether you want to make the recordings available only for the duration of the event or allow attendees to access the recordings after the event ends.
If you chose the latest, type here your duration. You can offer on-demand recordings
up to 12 months after the event.
All your event registered attendees need to do is sign back into the event page
and click on the Replay section.
Replay is particularly useful when running multi-day events or conducting multiple concurrent sessions, as attendees can easily catch up on anything they may have missed.
Now that you've enabled Replay, all your stages will be recorded by default. However, your sessions won't be recorded automatically, you'll need to indicate which sessions you wish to record. Do this by going to Venue> Sessions, click to edit the session you want to record and check "Record this session".
In the Recording area of the event's dashboard, you'll find the recordings classified by stage or session. From here, you can change the files’ title, download them for future use, or delete them. For each stage or session you'll find 3 types of recordings.
In the main Recordings area you'll have the primary recordings from the event.
In the Backups section, you'll find the duplicated recordings generated during the live event. And in the Rehearsals section, you'll find the recordings created during your pre-events rehearsals.
Bear in mind that your recordings won't be available in the Replay area automatically, you'll need to publish the recordingsfor your attendees to be able to access them.
It is likely that before doing this, you'll want to trimm the unnecessary bits out of your video to make the viewer's experience better. Good news is you can do this directly on Hopin without the need for a video editing software. Simply select your recording
and click on Trimm. Now, drag the bar to select onlythe part of your recording that you'd like to keep. Next, click Save. If you ever want to revert to the original recording, you can do so by clicking on trimmingand then Revert.
You can also modify the session's title By clicking on edit and typing your new title. And that's it!You can now publish your trimmed recordingby toggling this button.
In the Replay area, your attendees will be able to see all your published recordings organized by stage and session name. They can also use these tags to filter the recordings by date, session or stage.
Lastly, it is possible to check the analytics for your Replay videos. Simply go to Analytics > Reportsand generate a report for Replay recordings or viewers
By making your recordings available, you are letting your attendees watch the content in their own time, catch up on anything they may have missed during your event or re-watch their favourite parts.
This is how the Replay area can significantly add to your attendees’ experience
and help you reach an even bigger audience.
