With your event date approaching and you just want to make sure everything works, but you're afraid to hit the wrong button and make everything explode? Well, no worries. Let's get started. To copy your event, click on the three dots besides the event title on the left. Select Duplicate event. By default, the new event title will be copy of original event, but we strongly encourage you to add something like the word test in the event title so that way it prevents any confusion down the line. Make sure you adjust the date and time and time zone and decide which elements of the original event you want to include.

You can copy the schedules tickets, sessions, sponsors and expo booths as well as the canvas registration page, if you're using one in the original event. Please note you cannot copy speakers or attendees to the new event. Any speakers or attendees required to attend your testing events will need to register for that event as well. Essentially, you're treating this event as another event that you've created inside your organization.

You can even make it easier for them by sending magic links. Once you have selected the areas you want to copy, go ahead and click duplicate. This might take a few seconds. Duplicated events are created as unpublished. You will need to publish the event so that your speakers can register. We recommend changing the privacy setting of the test event to hidden to ensure only people with the link can access it.

Now you can either go back to the event dashboard or to the newly created event. To make your event stand out even more and avoid even more confusion, we recommend creating a custom URL for your test event. You can do this by going to the advanced marketing section and changing the URL here. And that's all. Whether you are copying an event for a test run or using it as a template for a future event,
