Up to 100,000 people can view the stage at a time. To set up the stage go to the event dashboard, select venue, then stage. Here you can start setting up the basics of your stage, such as the title description, and if anyone can watch it or if you want to restrict the viewing to specific ticket types. If you are planning to use Hopin’s backstage, select Hopin Backstage.

If you will be streaming to an audience that has an unstable internet connection, you can turn off the low latency mode to ensure they are still able to view your event at a reduced quality. You can also set up some of our many integrations such as Twitter, Slido and Typeform, to offer your attendees a truly immersive experience.

Click Add an integration to be directed to the integrations area of your Hopin account, where you can add even more great tools such as GoFundMe or Syncwords to save time,. Collaborate with others or engage your attendees even further with surveys, quizzes or games throughout the event. In the streaming settings, organizers can choose between the classic Hopin backstage or the built in Hopin backstage powered by StreamYard to easily broadcast from various locations and screens. If you have a separate StreamYard business account, which offers some additional features compared to the built in backstage one, you can use the RTMP stream option here to connect a third party stream to broadcast to your stage.

When choosing the StreamYard backstage option, start by setting up your webcam and mic, and a green screen if you want to use virtual backgrounds. Organizers can choose between various video layouts and add their webcam and audio, as well as their virtual background to their stream.
