Do you know those online events where you don't have a chance to speak to other attendees? Well, that's not our kind of event! That's why we have the networking feature. This area lets your attendees randomly meet each other in a 1:1 setting, and even lets them exchange contact information during the call. Here's how you can set it up in your event!
Easily set up Networking from the Venue > Networking menu in the event dashboard. The Networking area remains one of the most popular experiences of an event on Hopin. It’s personal, it’s fun, and it’s smooth.
Networking randomly pairs up attendees for a quick 1:1 video chat, similar to bumping into someone in the hall, helping them meet new people just as they would at an in-person event.
You can decide if Everyone can meet everyone, or if you want to restrict networking based on ticket types. In that case, you can match your ticket types here.
In the last step you can determine the minimum and maximum meeting duration in seconds.
But of course we don’t want to stop attendees from continuing a great networking session, so they have the option to prolong the meeting, if both parties click on Extend this call. If only one person wants to extend the call, though, it will finish once the maximum duration is reached.
After the call attendees can exchange virtual business cards to easily share their contact information for follow-up conversations in the future. This information can be found in the account overview page in your Hopin account.
Do you want to engage your attendees even more? Why not run a fun networking competition to see who can make the most connections or find the most things in common with someone else? By adding the Typeform integration to your event, your attendees could then submit fun facts they learned from their networking sessions.
The networking area is a great feature to use to increase attendee engagement and improve the general event experience, by adding the option to meet others in a fun and interactive way.
