Hey, this is Jason from Hopin here to talk about magic links. Magic link when clicked, automatically sign an attendee up for your Hopin event. They're a great way to manage registrations from an external registration platform into your Hopin event. A magic link when clicked will automatically sign up the attendees for a specific event if they already have a Hopin account linked to their email address.

If a user does not have an existing Hopin account, the magic link creates a Hopin account for the attendee and once clicked, registers the attendee for a specific event. No two magic links are the same, each one is unique. To set them up, navigate over to your event dashboard, find the People section, then select Magic Link invites.

On this page you can see here the steps that you'll need to take to upload your attendee list into your Hopin event. Be sure to download the sample CSV to follow the formatting that Hopin would like you to set your CSV up with. It's important to have a separate CSV for each ticket type you are adding to your event.

If you're using one CSV file to manage your registrations from your external platform, you can keep reusing that same file inside your Hopin event. Hopin will detect four duplicates and skip over those in the registration process. This is really helpful to cut down on the amount of files that you need to manage from your computer.

After you upload your CSV here, select the ticket type you're adding this attendee list into. You can manage your invites from the Manage Invitations tab. Here you can track those not yet invited, invited, registered or declined. Hopin does not automatically send invites after you upload. When you're ready to send out your magic link invites you can select all your attendees that you've uploaded via this checkbox here and then select send invite here.
