Science & Technology Facilities Council and the Met Office

The SWIMMR programme is a collaboration between the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Department for Transport and the Ministry of Defence. The programme has been outlined in close association with the Met Office Space Weather Operations Centre (MOSWOC), which will be the ultimate beneficiary in terms of new models, data and services. The outcome of the SWIMMR programme will be a step-change in operational space weather capability that will inform enhanced resilience to space weather events.
