WELCOME ABOARD! Thank you for registering for District 5160’s Spring Conference! Our Conference Committee, lead by Chair Arne Gustafson, has been working for many months to bring you an event that will be meaningful, memorable and FUN! While we planned nearly two years ago for us to meet in Sacramento, rich in railroading history and tradition, the “All Aboard!” theme of the conference also refers to my hope that we can continue to welcome and engage a more diverse group of new Rotarians and enhance the inclusiveness of our membership and the people we serve. The 2020-21 Rotary year has been full of challenges for all Rotarians, their clubs and our district. But I am so proud of all the creativity, flexibility and innovation that our clubs have shown this year. We will continue to promote those qualities during our district conference since the Hopin platform we’re utilizing will allow us to be much more interactive – during main stage keynote events, smaller group break-out sessions, in “after hours” lounges, and even one-on-one! Please take a little time to get to know the Hopin platform so that you can take full advantage of all the learning and fun opportunities that will be easily accessible before and during the district conference. It will be my honor and pleasure to serve as your “Conductor” during our conference. I look forward to taking a most interesting and enjoyable “journey” with you!
