Eboni Haynes, PhD, MBA
CEO, The Mahogany Group and Health Science Director, Virginia Union University
Dr. Eboni Haynes is a public health educator, researcher, and consultant. She currently serves as CEO of The Mahogany Group, a public health management consulting firm; and Health Science Director at Virginia Union University.
Dr. Haynes provides leadership locally and nationally in the areas of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, health equity, and culturally appropriate health communications. She has managed training development projects, community-based programs, workforce development initiatives, and research projects funded by the Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Institutes of Health. Dr. Haynes has also served as a Principal Investigator on a $10 million project funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Haynes has worked within healthcare, non-profit, community-based, and national organizations; research institutions; and local and state health departments. She has also served as a health equity consultant to the American Heart Association grantees as well as to Black Directors Health Equity Agenda (BDHEA), where she led the development of BDHEA signature programs designed to increase the Black talent pipeline in health-related organizations.
Dr. Haynes’ published research includes studies centered around improving efficiency in research and program implementation as well as improving student and federal employee training such that the provision of quality health services and communications can be assured.
