For nearly two decades, the Games for Change Festival has been a destination for developers, educators, researchers, students, and other
game-changers who want to make an impact through video games or immersive media. From July 13 – 14, join us live in person in NYC at the Times Center and Microsoft for two days of curated talks, panels, and arcades with built-in networking opportunities throughout. Then, from July 15 – 16, catch our free online program for another two days of fresh content and talks to stream. Whether you’re new here or you’ve been a part of the G4C community for 19 years, you belong here.

The Games for Change Awards
The annual G4C Awards celebrate the year’s best social impact and learning games.
Categories include Most Innovative, Best Gameplay, Most Significant Impact, Best Learning Game,
Best Civics Game, Best Health Game, Best Narrative Game, Best XR for Change Experience,
and Best Student Game. All awards are competitive, and expert jurors review submissions
through a rigorous evaluation process. Stay tuned for more information on finalists!
Other Festival Activations:
In addition to the Festival, G4C will host the XR Brain Jam July 9-11. The Jam pairs researchers with XR game developers and digital creatives to explore the intersection of games, science, and the power
of immersive technology.
G4C will also host a series of Workshops July 10-11, exploring impact design methodologies, utilizing the power of games in the classroom, and more. Registration for Workshops will open soon!

Interested in Volunteering?
Every year, Games for Change relies on the support of volunteers to bring the G4C Festival to life. Volunteers' time and expertise help build a sense of community that elevates the experience for all attendees. We are looking for virtual and in-person all-stars for this year's Festival. Positions will be scheduled on a first submitted, first-served basis, so don't sleep on it!
Venues
The in-person portion of the 2022 Games for Change Festival will take place at the Times Center and Microsoft in Times Square, NYC. The venues are accessible from several mass transit hubs in the area, including 42 St- Port Authority Bus Terminal, Times Sq-42 St, and 34 St-Penn Station.
Health & Safety
Games for Change maintains the health and safety of our community as a top priority — this includes considerations for all of our event attendees, partners, employees, and volunteers. The 2022 Games for Change Festival will follow the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene recommendations related to large public gatherings and general safety guidelines published by the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. Masks will be required at all indoor activations. Vaccinations and a booster shot will be required to attend. All COVID requirements will be checked at badge pickup.
