Arden Fitzroy
Actor/Writer/Producer
Arden Fitzroy (they/them) is an actor, writer-poet, producer, and facilitator, who believes in experimentation and blurring the boundaries of genre, gender and art forms. They trained at Rose Bruford College. Credits include work with the Old Vic in a Christmas Carol, the Arcola, Bestival, Roundhouse, the Hackney Empire, the Royal Opera House, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, and the Soho Theatre. They are also an accomplished voice actor with a number of regular corporate clients, and can be heard on LA-based supernatural drama podcast Cryptid Cape. Their writing has appeared or is forthcoming with the Royal Society of Literature, Untitled Writing, Spread the Word, Stone of Madness Press, Girls on Tops, UCL Culture, Rejection Letters, The Final Girls and more. They are the creator and curator of the Metal New Artist Network’s zine, ANVIL, showcasing some of the best new artists around the UK. They have sat on judging panels for the British Fantasy Awards and are a frequent guest on pop culture podcasts. They were shortlisted for the London Writers Award in Poetry 2018, the Creative Future Writers’ Awards 2020 and 2022, the VAULT FIVE 2021, and the Streetcake Experimental Writing Prize 2021, and have opened for Saul Williams on the Roundhouse Main Stage. They have also written for film, theatre, and audio, and was Lead Producer of the RISE Collective’s AMPLIFY podcast season 2: Queer Joy. They are one of Creative Future’s Next Up poets of 2022, in collaboration with The Poetry School.
