With the Impact Investor Challenge, we seek to drive innovation in the direction of impact that will help build a sustainable future for communities globally, regionally, and locally.
Honing in on the economic development of regions and small communities is important to ensure that access to impact capital is equitable and inclusive. Place-based investing also provides individuals with deep ties to their communities, seeking to use their capital to make a local impact, with an avenue to do so.
Over the past 6 weeks, our investor and venture cohorts have worked together to learn the ins and outs of impact investing and fundraising, gaining valuable insights from guest speakers and key players in the local ecosystem.
Tune in on June 16th at 5 PM as the 5 finalists—some of the top impact startups in British Columbia—deliver 5-minute pitches in the final competition round to secure the grand prize: a minimum of $50,000 in investment by the graduating investor cohort.
