The UK is the leading destination in Europe for tech investment with the £26bn raised by UK startups and scale-ups was nearly double the figure raised in Germany (£13.5bn) and is more than three times that raised by France companies (£8.6bn).
UK tech investment made up 35 per cent of the total £76bn that flowed into the European tech ecosystem this year. As a start-up business from Australia though how can you access this and other forms of capital? This session is delivered by Briony Phillips. Briony works on the Investment Activator Programme which has helped 200+ businesses in their funding journey and supported £46.5m of investment raised in 2021.
In addition to this, she is the Access to Finance lead for the Creative Scale-Up Programme, a Teaching Fellow in Entrepreneurship Management at the University of Bath and an Investment Scout for Ada Ventures.
