Century Summit III:
Bold Ideas for a Longer-Lived Society
In the two years since we launched the Century Summit, life expectancy in the US has declined and inequity has increased. It’s time for bold ideas to support a longer-lived, healthier and more equitable society. True to our tradition, we will continue to bring together smart, creative and innovative people and ask them challenging questions around the quest for a longer and healthier life—with a twist. For the first time, the Century Summit will be a hybrid event, with an in-person audience at Stanford and a virtual audience gathering from around the world.
Dec 13, 2022, 9:00AM - Dec 14, 2022, 4:00PM PT

Over the course of two days, we will take on some of the most compelling questions facing a longer-lived society.
- Can we shift the focus towards “health span” rather than just life span?
- Can we conceive of longer careers that are not simply longer versions of our current model but are more balanced, more productive and more equitable?
- And can a nation that has nurtured so much generational antipathy rethink intergenerational relationships in a positive and productive manner?
